Marie-Michelle and Tania know that I'm a fan of woodsy fragrances. I would probably bathe in fig+cypress hand cream. I still spray my entire apartment with Forest. You get the gist. Tania had suggested that I try the bath soak in the pineapple+cilantro fragrance and she was so right; it is a MUST. Whether you try it in the bath soak or in the bubble bath, pineapple+cilantro is really perfect for taking your bath with a glass of rosé. It's sweet, but not too much, and perfectly fruity. Did I just mention alcohol in one of my articles again? I would never. My mom even told me that the bubbles stayed in her tub for over an hour! It's enough to have your own foam party if you miss Cancun too much.
Another product I can't live without is the citrus+sage hand cream. The citrus+sage candle, commonly called “the eight” around here, was my favorite for a long time, until one day, my boyfriend broke a room spray of this fragrance in our bathroom. It smelled like 08 for weeks. But like, REALLY STRONG. A few “pchits” is nice, but soaking your walls (I’m not sure how he did managed to do this) is enough to make you want to NOT smell this fragrance for a while. When I received the cream, I was a little scared. Will it hurt a little? Nope! Yay! The fragrance is present, so if you work somewhere scent-free, it should be your weekend hand cream. It's really hydrating and doesn't leave my hands greasy, thank goodness!
Finally, the peach+ginger fragrance is also perfect for this time of year – or always. My energy hasn't returned to the level where it was before the pandemic, if I'm being completely honest with you. The peach scent is so energizing!
Now, there's more than Flambette in life okay? Still in the spirit of spring, the HÄAGEN-DAZS mango and raspberry flavor is really good. I'm having a hard time walking away from chocolate ice cream, but I'm telling you, take a chance. If you are allergic to lactose or ice cream is not your favorite thing (what's wrong with you?!) this smoothie recipe from Oh She Glows is also quite tasty:
THE BLENDER GIRL'S MYSTICAL MANGO SMOOTHIE
Makes 2 servings
- 1 1/2 cup orange juice
- 1/2 cup water, or more if needed
- 1/4 cup avocado
- 1/2 teaspoon finely grated lime zest
- 2 cups frozen mangoes (I used a whole 300g bag)
- Pure maple syrup, to taste (optional – I added a teaspoon)
I hope this warms your heart a bit. Happy Spring!
