Although we had made the difficult decision to take a break from the tradition we hold so dear, the truth is, I just couldn’t let it go. And until very recently, the thought of disappointing you haunted me terribly. Then a friend (basically an angel!) gave me the idea to offer you a different version this year: a DIY format!
What are we suggesting? An entire section of affordable (canadian!) products so you can create your very own Advent calendar or make one for someone special! If you want to keep the element of surprise, I suggest asking someone else to pick the items for you. One thing’s for sure: there’s no room for disappointment!
An eco-friendly option
And because sustainability matters to us, instead of packaging everything in single-use containers or boxes, we recommend buying or making a calendar that will last for years to come. If you’ve kept our calendars from previous years, now’s the time to bring them back out!
I’m particularly fond of this one from Confetti Mill, made of linen, timeless, and simply beautiful.

If you’re crafty and not afraid of a little sewing, you can also make your own! Here’s a lovely example.
Otherwise, Pinterest is full of DIY ideas and honestly, the possibilities are nearly endless. This one is simple, pretty, and super budget-friendly!

An option that fits your budget
What’s even better about this format is that you set your own budget! 24 or 12 days? You decide! A calendar made of fabric, wood, or paper bags? Again, it’s completely up to you and your budget.
And of course, we want to spoil you a little and thank you for choosing our new format this year! When you purchase 12 items, you’ll receive 12% off. And if you take 24 items, a 24% discount will be automatically applied to your invoice.
A versatile selection!
Are you also one of those people who spend hours hunting for little surprises to slip into Christmas stockings? You’ll be happy to know that these small delights also fit perfectly in there!
And between you and I, when you’re just $5 short of free shipping, a section of low-priced items always comes in handy!
Convinced? Here are a few of my favorite picks:
- A mini room spray in an unbreakable container (perfect for your handbag!)
- A set of two cute notebooks (you can never have too many!)
- A white terrycloth scrunchie
- Eye masks for a refreshed look!
- A menthol shower steamer (perfect for stuffy noses!)
