Ultra-Girly Collabs
We had the chance to do several collaborations in 2024, and to my great delight, quite a few of them were especially girly. First, in March, we launched an iridescent jar candle with Maca. It’s still on my desk, and I’m still obsessed with how it teams up with the sun to create little rainbows. The scent — cantaloupe and lily — is an absolute favorite. I also love the line we developed with Atelier Bota, a contemporary florist based in Granby. If you’re in their area, it’s definitely worth a visit. The design and fragrance are perfectly feminine.I could go on about our collabs for an entire article, but I’ll contain myself and end by mentioning the ADORABLE Bestie Box in collaboration with Gold Heart Club. Alexe created such a cute design, perfectly capturing the vibe we wanted with the little bows and butterflies. And the fragrance. Insane!
Our Candle-Making Workshop
At the very start of the year, we held a pottery workshop with another member (and dear friend) from the 507 cooperative — Geneviève from the Rosette café-boutique. Participants molded their own jars and then poured a candle in the fragrance of their choice. I loved shaping my jar and interacting with the participants, who were seriously talented and also super friendly! Should we do another one?
Fragrances That Blew My Mind
I talked about it A LOT when our fall collection came out, and I’ll say it one more time: the Mahogany Tobacco candle is absolutely unreal! It’s the kind of scent that hits you when you walk into someone’s house and think, “This person really has their shit together.” Like, they probably only eat organic food, and their hair is always perfect. I’m getting carried away, but it’s my favorite scent of 2024. There, I said it.
Honorable mentions go to the Raspberry + Mint candle we created for Nature Nature and the Lavender, Raspberry, and Amber candle made in collaboration with Gold Heart Club. There’s definitely a raspberry obsession here.
Ending this article without mentioning the hand soap we co-created with Lysa Jordan would be sacrilege. It’s a product I use every day, both at home and at work, and I still think it’s the best-smelling hand soap in the world. It’s a little daily luxury!
